The focus will be on the masterclass with internationally renowned mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča, who will accompany eight selected young talents from the NEW VOICES project on their artistic journey.
The singers from eight nations will work on interpretation, technique, and expression in intensive group coaching sessions with the aim of further developing their musical personalities and learning from each other. In addition, our internationally experienced pianists Raffaele Cortesi and Markus Zugehör will be on hand to assist the singers during the coaching sessions.
The week will conclude on November 29 with an Advent concert, in which the participants will present the results of their work. The program includes pre-Christmas music as well as arias and ensembles from the classical opera repertoire, accompanied by experienced pianists and a wind ensemble made up of members of the Münster Air Force Band.
Participation in the Advent concert is by invitation from the Liz Mohn Foundation. For those interested, the doors will be open for an open dress rehearsal at the Bertelsmann Foundation on Friday, November 28, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – an opportunity to be up close and personal with the young artists as they create great music.
Note for members of the press:
Photo and video recordings are only possible with prior approval. Interviews with participants can be arranged by appointment.
