Inspiration on self-leadership, emotional intelligence and AI in leadership
Together with leadership coach Martin Groß, the participants explored the key challenges of modern leadership. The focus was on questions of self-leadership in the context of digital transformation, complexity and organizational change, as well as the importance of emotional intelligence, resilience and the ability to deal with conflict. In interactive formats, the participants developed and reflected on how a sustainable leadership culture can be strengthened.
Johannes Busold, who is responsible for the Future Leadership Training for the Liz Mohn Foundation, set the tone by presenting the foundation’s understanding of leadership and the results of a recent survey on the use of artificial intelligence by managers. In a lively exchange that followed, it became clear that AI offers a wide range of potential for the leadership of organizations, but at the same time also creates uncertainties that leaders must actively address.
The exchange between managers from business, politics and culture proved to be a great benefit: despite different contexts, many participants faced similar challenges – for example in dealing with uncertainty, resistance and change. The diversity of perspectives led to an open, insightful dialog.
Overall, the practical content combined with the peer-to-peer exchange gave participants concrete and effective levers to strengthen their leadership skills and positively shape their teams and organizations.
Campfire Talk with Corinna Vogt: Leadership in practice
A highlight of the second day of training was the Campfire Talk with Corinna Vogt, Managing Director at DB Training, Learning & Consulting – and herself a graduate of previous executive training courses at the Liz Mohn Foundation. In an open discussion, she provided insights into her leadership reality: how to deal with areas of tension, drive change processes forward even in the face of resistance and provide orientation during change. A valuable exchange that impressively combined theory and practice.
Outlook for Module II: Time for practical transfer
Until the second module, which will take place on November 6 and 7, 2025, participants will have the opportunity to try out the ideas in their day-to-day management work. The focus of Module II will therefore be on practical transfer – with in-depth suggestions for self-management and space to reflect on personal development steps.
