CREATING LEADERSHIP CULTURES

„Let a bubble be a bubble“.

After the training is before the training. To continuously improve, the team from Creating Leadership Cultures interviews participants to receive feedback and learn from it.Katharina Strein is one of the participants in the Future Leadership Training II. How was it?

July 04, 2024

Hello Katharina Strein, what do you do professionally all day?

I ensure that the events of the Mozartfest Würzburg get on stage – that the finances, the staffing, the legal framework, and the operational implementation are all in place, so that our artists, partners, and guests can experience excellent music in a contemporary context during the festival. So that they can enjoy and share enriching moments together. I look for solutions, set the course, provide direction, and connect – depending on the time of year, I take a more strategic approach or, when the festival hustle and bustle is happening, I react more quickly and in detail to the unforeseen.

Why do you enjoy leading?

I find it fascinating how a team of diverse personalities with different focuses, needs, and perspectives can come together to achieve something greater than anything a single person or a homogeneous group of experts could accomplish. It fulfills me to integrate each team member with their personality and skills within the set goals and resulting tasks as best as possible, and to create the framework for this.

How did you feel in the „Future Leadership Training“, did you feel comfortable? Why?

I found the colorful mix of participants from different industries and backgrounds extremely inspiring and enriching. You can let a bubble be a bubble. Looking beyond your own bubble unleashes so much creative potential and provides new impulses. The Liz Mohn Foundation / Anja and Helga took great care of us with heart and mind, our trainer Martin always provided us with unexpected and unconventional perspectives on the topic, and the openness in the group made it a pleasure to make new contacts.

Who or what led you to the „Future Leadership Training“?

It was the recommendation of a colleague from the Bertelsmann Leadership Network.

Please summarize the training in 3 terms? Or in 3 sentences.

Not just the mind, but also the body
Personality development instead of patent solutions
Inspiring
A training moment that opened your eyes, mind, or heart (or all together):

Connecting emotion and physicality in the Breath Journey.

What did you not expect from this training?

So much self-awareness and work on my own mindset.

What could be done differently/better in the next trainings?

Not much. Actually, just keep going like this!

Is there anything else you absolutely want to share?

Thanks to the creators and decision-makers for providing these training opportunities!
