Liz Mohn represents the fifth generation of Bertelsmann’s founding families and is committed to ensuring the global transfer of knowledge through the Liz Mohn Center gGmbH.

Following the death of her husband, Reinhard Mohn, philanthropist Liz Mohn represents the fifth generation of the Bertelsmann/Mohn family. Until June 2021, she was a member of the Bertelsmann Stiftung Executive Board, where she was responsible for initiatives promoting contemporary leadership, corporate social responsibility, social cohesion, values, culture and music education.
As a builder of bridges across languages and borders, she has established networks in different countries and cultures through a variety of events. Today, Liz Mohn is the Bertelsmann Stiftung’s global representative and an honorary member of its Board of Trustees.
Commitment
She heads the Liz Mohn Center, a nonprofit institution affiliated with the Bertelsmann Stiftung. Founded in 2022, the center brings together issues to which Liz Mohn has long been committed in her work:
International understanding and business topics focusing on issues related to contemporary leadership, as well as cultural projects and the promotion of young talent. The center ensures the continuity of many of the dialogue formats she has initiated and established in the international arena – such as the Trilogue Salzburg and the German-Spanish Forum – and develops them further.
It also organizes leadership camps and executive trainings for next leaders and is committed to promoting sustainable and responsible leadership through events and media formats.
