Each year, the Trilogue Salzburg brings together international decision makers and opinion leaders from politics, business and culture to exchange ideas on global issues.
Once a year, a select group of international leaders meets at the Trilogue Salzburg to discuss issues that will determine the globe’s future. The exchange of ideas focuses on the different perspectives found in the worlds of business, politics and culture. Over the years, the lively discussions about values and principles have positioned the Trilogue as an exceptional forum for dialogue.
“We will need not only all our grey matter, but also our senses and emotions to grasp the complexity of today’s issues. The Trilogue Salzburg provides a platform to leading figures from a variety of sectors, guaranteeing nuanced discussions,” says former Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel.
The aim of the event, however, is not only to promote an exchange of ideas. At the conclusion of the Trilogue, the findings are summarized as the “Salzburg Recommendations” and communicated to the European Commission, the Council of the European Union and their member states – since concrete action is required. The outcomes are also integrated into the foundation’s sociopolitical activities. Against the background of intensifying competition among business locations worldwide and the growing global interdependence of social and political contexts, the Trilogue promotes dialogue between international partners.
