For four days, singers from eight countries will work intensively in group coaching sessions with Elīna Garanča and pianists Markus Zugehör and Raffaele Cortesi on interpretation, technique, and expression within the opera repertoire.
Elīna Garanča is one of the world’s most successful mezzo-sopranos and has performed on the major opera stages in Vienna, Milan, London, New York, and Paris. She captivates her audiences with her vocal perfection, emotional depth, and charismatic stage presence.
Liz Mohn, founder and president of NEUE STIMMEN, comments: “With the ”Masterclass” as a central component of the “Creating Careers” promotional program, we offer young singers the opportunity to learn from great artists. In this way, we inspire and encourage them to find their own way onto the world’s great stages. I am delighted that we have been able to win Elīna Garanča, an internationally acclaimed mezzo-soprano, for our program.”
The highlight of the “Masterclass” will be an Advent Concert at the Bertelsmann Stiftung on Saturday, November 29. The participants will present the results of their work in a festive concert for guests from the worlds of business, politics, culture, and society. The program includes selected arias and ensembles from the classical opera repertoire. The young opera talents will be accompanied by pianists and a brass ensemble from the Air Force Band Münster.
Anyone interested can see the ambitious singers perform live and attend the public dress rehearsal at the Bertelsmann Stiftung on Friday, November 28, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Admission is free, but registration is required via www.liz-mohn-stiftung.de.
With its “Masterclass” format and close collaboration with internationally successful artists such as Elīna Garanča, NEUE STIMMEN provides decisive and lasting support for the careers of young opera talents.
