This year’s trilogue in Salzburg is dedicated to the question of rethinking international cooperation and analyzing the basic instruments required to create discussion and negotiation formats that can be respected by all supporting countries. Based on the results of the previous working groups, the following questions are up for debate:
- The UN is the only global political body in the world. Is there a way to reform it to make it more effective?
- What could meaningful forums for conflict resolution look like?
- How can business, science and culture support international cooperation?
- How can civil societies from autocratically governed countries be involved?
- Do we have effective (non-military) means of sanctioning countries that violate international rules?
